km · blank = shortest way
Point-to-point has one shortest route; set a minimum to get longer, more scenic ways between the two spots.
A real hill (net grade ≥ min) — raise it for steep pitches, lower it for gentler ones. Pick a trade-off from the ranked options.
Natural mix of ups and downs.
A natural mix — mostly singletrack.
🥾 Route Lab ✕
Route Lab designs trail-running routes on Gatineau Park's real trail network — you don't draw them, it builds them.
Set it up. Pick a start lot (or a whole region), a distance (or a time), and optional terrain — flat ↔ hilly. Tap Generate 3 routes.
Pick one. You get 3 ranked loops — tap a card to see it on the map, its climb, and its surface mix. + Another adds one more; tap Generate again for 3 totally different ones.
Take it with you.⬇ GPX for your watch, 🔗 Share a link, ⇄ Rev to run it the other way.
More: switch to point-to-point (A→B), hill reps, or size to a time. Set your running pace in the account menu (top-right) so finish-time estimates are yours. After a run, 📝 Rate a route's trails to improve the map for everyone.
It's the planning step map apps (Gaia, AllTrails) and watch apps (Garmin, Strava) skip — specialized for trail running in one park it knows deeply. Trails from OpenStreetMap, routing by GraphHopper, elevation from SRTM. No subscription.
Good to know
Gatineau Park only — for now.
Distances are approximate (~±20%). Trail loops rarely hit an exact number; it gets close and always shows the real distance.
Natural trails first — it prefers in-park natural trail and avoids pavement or leaving the park unless a sector has no other way in.
Loops preferred — an out-and-back appears only where no loop fits your distance.
Difficulty is limited by the map data — the "Technical" steer is off for now (too few trail ratings). Help fix that by rating trails.
